The course is a series of lectures of the eighth semester of the regular MSc curriculum and an elective course for Erasmus students, with 2 hours lecture weekly.
The goal of the course is to get students acquainted with the multidisciplinary characteristics of Urban Design, Urban Planning and Urban Studies. The semester deals with (1) the issues of contemporary urbanity; (2) related fields of science and (3) planning tools in various field of the profession.
A number of lectures will be dedicated to the special urban characteristics of Budapest.
In the series of lectures some invited experts of various fields and professors of the Department of Urban Planning and Design are presenting lectures on various topics.
